Frequently Asked Questions

The image should invoke a sense of the chosen theme (Valentine’s Day), but you can include any sort of product (or even a combination of products).

To avoid any legal issues, all of the work must be created entirely by you, with the exception that you are free to use any digital asset purchased through the Photigy Store (or obtained through your membership) such as our Splash Packs.

The Contest image should be submitted as an 8-bit JPEG file, 2,000 pixels on the long edge. Title your image as follows:

Contest Image Title: YourFirstName_YourLastName_IMAGE_CONTEST2020.jpeg

Not as part of your submission. However, if you are selected as a winner of any of the prizes, you will need to submit a signed Declaration and Release as well as a Behind-The-Scenes (BTS) shot of your setup and the straight out of camera Raw file (Before photo). We require this for validation purposes and so we can share it with our educational community.

The official Photigy judge will be Alex Koloskov, but other Photigy instructors may also be included.

Images submitted to the Contest will be reviewed for completeness by a member of the Photigy team, who will provide anonymous, unmarked/renamed copies to the judges for critique and winner selection.

The Critique and Judging will be performed live and broadcast on our YouTube Channel. Winners will be announced live and contacted via email.

Winners are responsible for any taxes required by the state in which they live.
