Cris Anzai

Hi I’m Cris.

I am a half Japanese (Father’s side who was born in Hawaii) half Korean (Mother’s side) American photographer (raised in the South).
In the photo world I am a newcomer and I have just recently caught the photo bug. I graduated Georgia State University with a degree in English and in photography I am more or less self-taught (learning from photographers that I try to emulate online). I picked up a DSLR in December of 2011 and so far I have not been able to put it down.

I’m currently an in-house photographer for a large IT equipment company based in Atlanta and I am happily shooting and learning every day, and I look forward to other opportunities that photography will open up for me.

As a new photographer, I continually absorb information and I am influenced by other photographers and artists. What I enjoy most about studio photography is the control of the lighting and subject. Product photography has also taught me to be more technically aware and to strive for proficiency. I continue to develop my own vision and my own style in photography and I hope to gain mastery one day.
