Japanese Knife: One Sharp Light  For One Sharp Knife
One Light Knife shot

This is a demonstration of how to create a dramatic shot of the knife with one light (broncolor optical spot) and one small diffuser. It is a bonus to Photigy Pro Corner assignment tutorial, “Cutting Instruments

The knife is made from Damascus steel  (66 layers), and  it was interesting to see how texture and pattern will look like on different angles of the light.

More shots from the same session. No post-production, this is what I’ve got from a camera.

Different angles gives different patterns on the blade.
