Alex Koloskov and Eric Raeber lead you along the trails of the city shoreline, through an area that was once intended to become part of San Francisco’s shipping terminal. The goal is to share our experience as well as demonstrate and practice artificial lighting with conceptual portraiture.
At 3pm we will start the walk at Heron’s Head park and practice some portraits along the way. Bring your favorite off-camera flash or reflector if you happen to own one. If you have a unique or surprising prop that is either vintage or out of this world, even better. You might even be so lucky as to see an egret or a blue angel fly through your composition.
Oh, and be ready to pose for your fellow photographers. There is nothing quite like being in front of the lens, every once in a while!
Around 4.30pm we will make our way towards Pier 94. Alex will bring along a ProFoto B1 battery powered e-TTL strobe which has been lent by our sponsor: B&H. This is the location we will also setup a more involved photo shoot, for which we hope to sign-up a model, whom you will have a chance to photograph.
This will take us through the golden hour for a sunset which is at 6.40pm, and mark the end of the photowalk.
