- DIY Starter’s Guide To Product Photography
DIY-stuff 4I like the way Alex showed building DIY (Do It Yourself) studio with low costs. For me it was a bonus Alex explained how to fix too soft edges at subject as a result of too much light on background.

Good information & advises 3I started this course after having already taken few others, so I was already familiar with some of the items / principles presented but nevertheless I still learned some interesting things on DIY side. Good intro.

Wine Photography for Professionals 4The course was very informative as far as the shooting methods. It does not matter if you are a portrait photographer or a Commercial product photographer Alex has some great ideas and explanations as to why he lite the product the way he did. I would take other courses that are offered here at Photigy. The editing of the images could use some better explanation as to what and why Genia is doing. Also she needs to talk into the microphone and not at it as it was difficult to understand what she was saying. This is the only fault with the course, and why I only gave it 4 stars. I have been doing Product photography for 40+ years and I learned something in this course. I started doing product photography with 4x5 or 8x10 view cameras and always with transparencies so the lighting was exact and the strobes or hot lights needed to be color balanced for the film that you were using. Digital has made the turn around time less and now I usually get the art directors approval with in an hour after it is in his mail.
