“You Are My Twin” is a personal art project. This project is a little psychological study of twins’ relationship shown with the help of metaphors.
I’ve always been curious about how it feels to have a twin. One day I just started thinking about visual metaphors and how to use props, what kind of sets to make to tell a story in each picture. I like studying human psychology in my work.
I also like using strong visual elements in my images. And I pay a lot of attention to lighting my subject to set a certain mood.
From sketches to final images the whole project took about a month. Making props took most of the time, over three weeks. I was lucky to work with a talented prop designer Espen Gjertzen Øydvin on this project.
We shot all four images in one day in Photigy Studio, using the available camera and lighting gear (Hasselblad, Broncolor). Then i took me about 4 days to do post production.
