Hi! my name is Mariah and I am a graphics designer. I have a side business in which I import various things and sell them online. So the thing is my recent product was some sports white long sleeve t shirts with black stripes on the sleeves. For selling those I took some product photos with lights on and on white background. The problem I am facing is that the white background is making the white shirts look faded and the real colour is not showing. I know I should use a different coloured background but to be honest I really do not want to. I have seen many products which are white and are still taken on a white background and they look stunning. I also want to do the same thing, in this way the photo looks more elegant and not cheap. What is the thing they do that I have been missing out?. I did not use flash and still the photos are not that good. If anyone knows this trick please help me out. One more thing that I would like to say is that I am not a professional photographer. I am more of a graphics designer I am doing product photography by myself to save the extra cost. I really do not know a lot about photography so suggest me something simple. If you talk about deep iso and all internal settings about the lens or the camera I would probably not understand. It would be very helpful if you advice me with simple basic solutions. The camera I am using now is Nikon D 850 and the lens that I am using with it is Nikon 35mm f/1.4 G. Also please tell me if I am using the right lens and camera or not. I am not into other photography. I just do product photography for business. So let me know if I am using the correct camera and lens or not. So I am running some websites of graphics designing and doing free lancing as the main job. I started this side business of mine 2 years ago as there are lots of free lancers now and I do not get much orders as before. There are few clients who only choose me when it comes to some editing job. Other than that I am not making new customers. I am saying all these because I want to start learning photography as I have free time now. Is it a good idea ? if so which tutorials should I see for that?. I want to do night street photography so I want to know which kens would capture the best light at night. These are all that I need to know right now, and about the product photography I tried my beat to come up with something but the photo is just not upload able yet. So I am wondering what can I do to make it right so please help me.
