Tethering Cable or Wifi

Greetings. My tether quit working and wondering if it is a bad cable. With that, what possible Wifi card option should I consider?

I do plan on doing onsite tethered captures. What are most using that works well? I don’t mind still using a cable.

  I own CamRanger and TetherTools AirDirect. I prefer the cable where it is practical. When I shoot still life / products I am within a few feet of my workstation. Outdoors, wireless rules. Battery drain is an issue especially if you use live view a lot.
