Alex suggests using these LED lights for basic jewellery photography :
Polaroid PLPAR38W-150.2200.30.3D 150-watt Equivalent 2200-Lumen which are no longer available.
Can anyone suggest alternative budget lighting ?

    Thanks

      Hey Jeff!

It depends on your budget overall. You can take a look at these units:

      Studio Essentials 100W LED

      Godox SL-60 LED Video Light

      Yongnuo YN760 Pro LED

One of the main advantages that you can attach almost any light modifier with Bowens bayonet: stripboxes, reflectors, snoots and so on.

How many of these lights would you suggest purchasing?

I got 5 Godox SL60 for why video setup.

Using 2 of these to blow-out a white background, I use 2 for the subject.
One extra if needed with a snoot for the sparkle of a stone for ex.

This setup allow me to work at f16 iso400 1/50s for HD/4k 25fps Videos.
If you don’t need white background you can lower ISO.

I’d like to have 2 SL150/SL200 for the background to be able to work at ISO 100, but so far with a Sony A7III ISO 400 work just fine.

I think it is the cheapest setup with bowen mount and it look “pro” enough in front of my clients 🙂
