hi. am doing now pictures for a website and now am getting trouble with wool looking trousers. i want to make them look as they are but they appear flat.
i put the trouser on white paper on floor 2 softboxes on either side. ANYONE HAS A BETTER WAY TO LIGHT TEXTURE?

Hey! Most likely you get simply flat lighting, but it would be easier to help if you’d provide some actual images and behind the scenes shots.
Generally, the light should fall at a sharp angle to the object in order to reveal the texture.

Its about the angle that light “hits” the target. Lower your softboxes, make them hit the surface with a sharper angle. Not from top/side, but really from sides.. see the difference, find the optimal height – because when too low, it will be too many wrinkles, etc..
