Please tell me what editing software did you use for your videos?

Initially, I was using Final Cut X, a relatively easy to use and not “so-professional” for many PRO video editors.
Then  I got help from Daniel Schweigert, a professional video editor with cleaning and enhancing the video in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.

However, right now I am working on developing my own, simplified workflow with Final Cut X and Apple Motion to get these 360° videos easier and faster.

It will be the next course on jewelry video making.

How long video clips would you recommend doing (what would be optimal for a viewer ?)

Not more than 1 minute, however, all depends on how many pieces you will be showing in a single video. Based on various observations, it is better to have many short videos than a few longer.

Is video editing very expensive and time-consuming?

It could be, even for a professional, if your jewelry is not clean, has some dust in and around. Sometimes a video can be completely unusable because of dust and visible blemishes that it impossible to clean well on a video.

The solution is to shoot CLEAN

Who much would you recommend to charge a client for each video clip?

$100-$300 for a single video.

How would you display earring and necklaces for making a DSLR video?

Going to cover this in the next course. Have not done anything like this yet…

If a soundtrack is added to the clip, do I need to get permission/license to use it and whom should I contact in order to get this permission and how much is it likely to cost?

Yes, you have to buy a royalty-free music for your videos. We are buying it at AudioJungle, but there are many places where you can get royalty-free music form$10-$20 a piece.

Be prepared to get Copyright notices from Youtube, even on a legally purchased sound. In this case, you need to submit a claim, supplying a license and youtube will dismiss a DMCA case.
