Hi — I’m a bit confused about the homework assignment. I assume the intent is to create the complete final image, as it was in part 1. Did I miss something with the chocolate splash? Have no idea what I’m supposed to do with it, other than practice liquify and warp. Also, should we do the watch micro dodge/burn exercise as well? I’m having a tough time seeing the change with micro dodge/burn.

Also, the software hasn’t given me credit for watching micro dodge/burn. Perhaps it knows that after three times studying it, I’m still confused about what is being corrected.

Another question: How do we submit a PS file for the review? The system will not accept a file larger than 2mb

      Hi Jean,
We have a few CGI courses supported on this forum, what course are you talking about?
as for more than 2Mb submission – please upload the file to any free storage (dropbox, Gdrive) and share a link with the instructor.

      Hello Jean!

I will try to answer some of the questions you may be having trouble with. The chocolate splash is there just to demonstrate a certain technique, and the source file is included in the course files so you can follow along and test out those same techniques as you go. The splash does not really have anything to do with homework 🙂

The micro dodge/burn changes are in fact very subtle but that is the whole point of the technique. You make very subtle changes in the values of a certain texture to make it appear more consistent and smooth compared to the initial texture. I suggest you try to give it one more go and I will instruct further if you are still having trouble with that lesson.

I would like to clarify our last issue, what do you mean by software not giving you credit?

Thanks for asking and hopefully this helps you understand.
