lighting glossy item

Alex says at the conlusion in part 2 that showing an object is glossy is by showing a sharp cut off line. i have attached an image and a behind the scenes of how i am trying to achieve this cut off.

Is this considered a cut off line or is too much of a gradient that it looks matt? i cannot for the life of me make more of a cut off then this on this bottle i have tried moving everything around but to no avail!?

any advice please if this needs improving.

the dark strip in the middle of the bottle is from the diffusers i cannot get rid of that too even if i move the diffuser ends nearer together- any advice on that too would be great!!
