Retouching and glasses

Hello, I spend a lot of time retouching my photos and more and more I have headaches and eyes, it is because of the time spent. I have read that part of that problem is due to the blue light emitted by the screens, a solution to this is to use glasses that block that blue light, the problem is that these glasses color the image in yellow.

do you know a solution for this? If the solution is to use the glasses, do you know any make / model that works well and does not have these yellow ones?

Hello!

I can only recommend to lower the time spent, take breaks often and do not sit in too dim light. I spend around 10h/day at computer so my eyes are used to it. Also good quality monitor might reduce the headache.

Make sure your monitor is set to half 1/2 the amo*nt of brightness. Never edit your photos at full brightness. If you edit at 1/2 it is less eye strain and more realistic to what to expect when they are printed.

Also, when you are feeling refreshed. Sit comfortably in the position that you edit in. Make sure you can see the screen clearly. Can you read text? I have a large monitor so I have increased the size of my fonts. Is it clean? Do you possible need reading glasses?

Lastly, I have my monitor set on a dark theme, so,there is no glaring light around my images. Black desktop screen, etc.

I never ever have full brightness on my monitors. They are being colo cailibrated twice a week, and a device measuring the light in room giving me the sweet spot without the hassle of is my images to bright or dark 🙂

So lowering the brightness very much isnt a good option unfortunetly, as all you do of post processing might be wrong, to dark or to bright 😉
