    Hello fellow Photigy-ers.

Need some advice as to stripbox size…

I recently invested in a 1X4’ Profoto RFI strip box and have used it with a D2 as a main light with a large diffusion. It’s huge but pretty versatile.

Now I get to module 2 of the complete guide to photography and Alex is advocating for a symmetrical lighting setup of two strips.

Should I pick up a second 1×4 RFI. for symmetry or would it be more practical to pick up a pair of 1x3s OCFs for my B10s.

    Lemme know your thoughts.

      Hey Lexi,
I think it makes sense to pick up another 1×4′ stripbox. If you have enough studio space, I do not see any drawbacks of using this stripbox.

On the other hand, if you can afford a couple of new stripboxes, then why not? You can use them in a future for some complicated lighting setups where larger stripbox is not handy to use due to its size. I really doubt you’ll see any difference in light quality between those two, so it’s up to you.
