You will learn how to use diffusers with spotlight source behind (or large diffuser with strip box or narrow softbox behind) to create a gradient reflection on glossy parts: like I did for the glossy mesh top of the mic Make sure to have enough amount of highlights and shadows on the glossy pars to show the glossiness of the surface. Try to fix any parts of the subjects, even if they are very little.
Do not stop when you are not enough satisfied with the shot: just take a break and get back to finish it later. Use translucent background creatively, use a custom screen behind the background and lit them with the light to create unusual effects right on the camera. In most cases, they will look more organic than those created in Photoshop.

In general, this produced the same result, but it was easier to work using the shooting box. I still think that lightbox is not good for most of my studio work, but sometimes it can be very helpful. Cases like this, when I need to fill everything with the light. So, we do not listen to anyone, and use whatever will work the best for a given task… agree?
In the end, I’d like to show you one more shot.
I’ve done it with a very simple modification of the lighting setup above, but the outcome was changed dramatically, check this out:
