    Hi.

For those of you that shoot in a jewelry store, how do you control the light and do you get much space to work in?

I have my first jewelry client (360* Video), who has offered to remake 3 rings (replacing the diamonds) and send them to me to shoot from home. But he is busy and after 4 weeks, he still has not had the time to do this.

To speed up the process and to avoid this from happening in the future, i would be happy to shoot in store, but with my lights and stands and translum diffusers etc, i fear that i wont have the space and I wont be able to control the light with everything else on.

There has to be a simple solution. What works for you?

Probably you have to discuss this question about space beforehand. Out of my experience, shooting any kind of objects outside of your studio is not a good idea. Of course, it depends on your scale, but if you have to bring at least 5-6 stands, tripod, lights, your camera with lenses, scrims and many other things on location.
Don’t forget about vehicle amortization, gas, additional time for transportation, food.
